Twice Restored, the Vintage Train Carriage Is a Homage to the Great Age of Steam
The Superhosts Mike and Fleur first undertook the restoration of the carriage in 2014, and they did their best to preserve as much originality as they could.
Self-admittedly, their budget only allowed them to create a more playful steampunk interior, rather than the heavily elegant and exuberant 1920s look.
More recently, in the year 2020, they restored the carriage once more, and that time succeeded in making it more authentic.

Enjoy the Late Victorian Interior
Antique furniture, such as the gorgeous leather seating and the carved wooden cabinet preserve the Victorian, steampunk vibe.
Exposed pipes, black floors, and brass streaks contribute to the whole style.
The walls contain the original panels from the 1920s. Their warm, brown color breathes warmth into the whole interior.

The Carriage Can House Up to Six Guests Overnight

Two smaller compartment carriages contain double beds, which makes the Vintage Train Carriage suitable for families with children.
Still, considering the surroundings, lush nature, and romantic design, this carriage is perfect for a couples’ getaway. The hosts also recommend coming in smaller numbers because the carriage has very weak sound isolation.
