While your regular restaurants remain as popular as ever, themed restaurants draw an enormous amount of attention.
They take a different approach and a whole another level of creativity to put together, and their patrons recognize that.
Whether you’re a traveller wishing to experience new things or an entrepreneur looking for inspiration, these 9 restaurants will amaze you!
1. The Magic, Budapest
The Magic is a Harry Potter-themed restaurant in Budapest, Hungary.
It’s an enchanting place that allows for complete immersion into the magical world fantasy.
From the amazing interior decor to the table setting, each and every element supports the restaurant’s theme.
Even the food and drinks on the menu are named appropriately, like Onionkedavra Burger or Hysteria Potion cocktail.
The Magic is an epic place to visit, not only for the experience and the food but for the pics too!

2. Jungle Cave, London
Jungle Cave in London, England, based on its cuisine, is an American restaurant.
Its witty design and decor can be especially attractive to children, so it’s often visited by families.
Every detail of the restaurant supports the jungle theme but goes about it in a silly and fun way, and its aesthetic reminds me a lot of the Madagascar movie.
3. Robot Restaurant, Tokyo
I’m sure you think you know enough about this place just by seeing the flamboyant interior, but trust me, it doesn’t even scratch the surface!
The main part of the experience in the Robot Restaurant isn’t the decor and the meal – it’s the Samurai Show.
Yes, there are robots, costumed performers, blasting music, and disco lights. It seems like a chaotic combination of a nightclub, restaurant, anime convention, and festival.
Even before you step inside, you’ll feel like you’ve seen too much as the entrance is adorned by two huge anime girl robots.
Unsurprisingly, the Robot Restaurant is one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city.
4. Caru’ cu bere, Bucharest
Dubbed the 7th most legendary restaurant in the world by TasteAtlas, Caru’ cu bere boasts a 130-year-old tradition.
It’s a symbol of Bucharest’s old town and over the years has welcomed world-famous patrons, such as the members of The Rolling Stones, Japanese emperor, Naruhito, Edward Kennedy, and others.
The restaurant was built in the Neo-Gothic style and was named a historic monument of architecture.
Though the menu offers a whole variety of food, the restaurant is best known for its Romanian specialties.
The restaurant also serves a special brand of house beer, brewed by a unique recipe.

5. Fanfans Café, Taiwan
FanFans Café in Taiwan is every anime fan’s dream come true because its theme is super broad.
The café holds monthly themes, usually incorporating the currently popular anime into its aesthetic.
There was Spy x Family, Tokyo Revengers, Haikyuu!! and those are just a few of many! And the concept doesn’t just stop there.
The menu, the main decor, and the merch that’s available for sale are all congruent with the current theme.
As you enter, a life-size cardboard model of this or that anime character stands there to greet you and that tends to be the patrons’ favorite spot for taking pictures.
The café serves food, desserts, and drinks, and if you don’t feel like staying or there are no free tables, you may also order take-out from outside.
6. Space Alien Grill & Bar, North Dakota
Space Alien Grill & Bar appropriately dubs itself “out of this world fun” and supports that claim fully with its aesthetic.
Both the interior and exterior are designed and decorated in the retro-futuristic style, often featuring alien faces and objects.
It serves mainly fast food like pizzas, burgers, and sandwiches, and also functions as an entertainment center.
There are various arcades and video games to choose from so you may unwind after a hearty American meal.
At the core of the concept, however, reside family values. The bar prides itself on the family-friendly prices and the offered entertainment that caters to patrons of all ages.
7. Be Our Guest Restaurant, Bay Lake
If you didn’t guess the theme for the iconic song from one of the most influential Walt Disney animated movies, then you just had to have recognized the ballroom!
Set in Fantasyland, in Bay Lake, Florida, the Be Our Guest restaurant centers around the Beauty and the Beast theme and aesthetic.
It holds three huge dining areas – which house 550 guests – each more meticulously designed than the other.
The design portrays the inside of the Beast’s castle, which is inspired by French architecture.
The Grand Ballroom is the dining area you may see in the above picture. In the movie, that’s where the Beast and Belle have their first dance and she wears the iconic golden dress.
The West Wing is the forbidden room, where you’ll find the enchanted rose.
The third is the Castle Gallery, adorned by a bunch of wall art depicting the scenes from the movie and the central statue of Belle and the Beast.
8. Dakshin, Visakhapatnam
Dakshin restaurant has a long-standing tradition, and it’s even considered a landmark restaurant in Visakhapatnam.
Just recently, in September of 2024, the restaurant was redesigned by the Design Studio, wherein the interior designer Ameet Mirpuri was named.
Dakshin was dressed in warm colors and impactful patterns characteristic of South India, yet it managed to maintain a worldly look.
Gold and cottage green accents work marvelously with the rest of the color scheme.
Dakshin offers a la carte menu, though patrons may also witness exotic food being prepared on-site.
The restaurant is recommended left and right for its warm ambiance and great service, and it’s rated 5 stars on Tripadvisor.
9. Pink Restaurant, Dublin
Pink Restaurant in Dublin, Ireland has a straightforward and simple theme – which is pink.
The restaurant’s design embodies everything that we associate with the color: femininity, serenity, optimism, and romantic appeal.

And if you ever decide to celebrate your birthday at the restaurant, you may order a gorgeous hot pink cake for your party!
